Jonas Gaffud reacts to Pia Wurtzbach playing 'Darna'



Jonas Gaffud, newly appointed creative director for Miss Universe Philippines, said he would love to see 2015 Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach play the role of 'Darna,' the same movie project earlier meant for Angel Locsin and Liza Soberano.

"Hindi ko pa sya nakakausap nga eh hahaha. Pero ako gusto ko," said Gaffud, also the talent manager of the beauty queen, in an exclusive interview. Wurtzbach is still in South Korea shooting for her cable lifestyle series "Pia's Postcards."

On April 2, Wurtzbach talked about a superhero but it's not Darna.

As reported by Push.com, the beauty queen has expressed her intentions to audition for Wave, Marvel's first Filipino superhero, as reported by Push.com.

 Wave will be part of its upcoming series "War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas."

"If there's going to be an audition for it, I'm going to try for that. Why not, right?" Wurtzbach said.

Wurtzbach added that playing a superhero has always been a dream, just like going to Hollywood. "Well, that dream is still there, I'm still trying to pursue my dream. I know that I still have a long way to go."

But Pinoy fans wanted her to play Darna. That's why starting Sunday, April 7, her fans will launch a massive social media campaign for her to be considered for the role of Darna.

    ... really happy to know that her fans, including me, will converge in connivance with the Universe for this petition to get noticed by Star Cinema's top management... will also pray that stars will align once again to Pia's favor... 😀

Former Mr. Gay World titleholder John Raspado admitted that he feels sorry for newly crowned Mr. Gay World Philippines Janjep Carlos "because he has only few weeks to prepare'' for the competition in South Africa.
